About Me
Hello! I'm Rocio the creator of Hodgepodge Learning.
I chose the name Hodgepodge Learning because I knew I was going to include a variety of resources of different things anyone can learn. At the moment, I am more focused on providing English learning resources, but I do have products for primary (lower grades) learners that I am working on as well.
Besides teaching my mom English, I taught English in South Korea for a year to try it out. Before that, I taught English online on VIPKids and Cambly for 6 months after graduating from Baylor University with an education degree.
Upon returning from South Korea, I taught elementary grades for 3 years until I decided to quit and officially launch Hodgepodge Learning. While being an elementary teacher, I taught English learning students and helped them improve their listening and speaking.
I am currently studying my 3rd language, Korean, so I know how difficult it is to find specific resources for self-studying and it being impossible to find. So, I decided to create resources for English learners that I wish I could find for Korean.
As a former primary teacher, I want to create resources parents can get for their kids when they know they are struggling in a subject. Teachers already have their hands full and work extra time, so I also want to take a load off of them when it comes to finding resources to offer parents when they ask how to help at home.
